Nurali Aliyev Had a Meeting with the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development of the Republic of Finland

na1On October 5, a meeting of the Deputy Akim of Astana, Nurali Aliyev, and the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development of Finnish Republic, Lenita Toivakka, has been held.

During her visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mrs. Lenita Toivakka visited Astana with a delegation of 27 representatives of major Finnish companies.

At the talks, the parties discussed issues of further Kazakhstani-Finnish trade and economic cooperation, as well as issues relating to urban infrastructure.

- Kazakhstan and Finland have traditionally good and fruitful relations with considerable potential for further strengthening of mutually beneficial partnership. A key indicator of this cooperation is that Astana and Oulu are twin cities, - said N. Aliyev, greeting the guests.

Within the meeting, the Deputy Akim of the capital also told the Minister and Finnish entrepreneurs about implementation of Smart Astana Concept, as well as beneficial opportunities for participation of Finnish companies in "Astana - New City" special economic zone.

During the conversation, Nurali Aliyev stressed out that "foreign investors are provided with a greater support, as well as financial incentives and guarantees are ensured". At the end of the meeting N. Aliyev thanked Lenita Toivakka for her interest in the Kazakhstani capital of Astana and expressed confidence in active participation of the Finnish side in the VI Astana Invest 2015 International Investment Forum.

We should recall that the VI Astana Invest 2015 International Investment Forum will be held on October 29, 2015 in Astana in the Palace of Independence. This forum will provide a unique opportunity to raise the cooperation between the representatives of the government, foreign and Kazakhstani business communities to the next level.
